Psycho Re-imagined
This project began during a weekend-long workshop in Ireland with Annie Atkins—the graphic designer behind many of Wes Anderson’s most iconic film worlds. The workshop took place in a restored 18th-century manor tucked into the countryside of Cork, where we spent our days learning the full craft of cinematic prop design: researching period references, hand-lettering, printing, and aging paper so it looks convincingly antique on camera.
Under Annie’s direction, we learned to build small narrative worlds entirely by hand, exploring how typography, texture, and material choices can shape a story.
While there, I started designing a suite of fictional mid-century props inspired by the Psycho screenplay. The full set is still in progress and will be added here soon. Below is a look at my process so far.
